FAQs

This page is dedicated to the most frequently asked questions that we receive at Eternity Bliss.

What is a Floatation Spa?
A floatation spa is a large tub filled with 800 lbs of Epsom salt dissolved in water, which is enough to make you buoyant in a state of zero-gravity, which is very therapeutic and relieves tension on your muscles.

What is the difference between a floatation spa and a floatation tank?
A floatation spa is a large tub enclosed in a room for floatation. It offers a much more spacious environment for floating than the traditional tank, which is an enclosed box about the size of a twin bed that is chest high.

How is the Float Spa cleaned?
For your health and safety, the spa is self-contained and utilizes industry-leading low micron filtration and an advanced ozone purification system.

What are your hours?
Eternity Bliss is open by appointment only. Please call us at 510.601.9206 to leave a message and we will see if we can fit your appointment in.

What methods of payment do you take?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, cash, and personal checks with valid ID.

Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes, we have gift certificates available.

Is the floatation spa soundproof?
The floatation spa at Eternity Bliss is as soundproof as any floatation tank. Wearing earplugs usually helps with any street noise and prevents salt from getting in your ears. We also have a sound system where you can play a relaxing CD of your choice.

Is the floatation spa lightproof?
The floatation spa at Eternity Bliss is completely dark, although as your eyes adjust to the darkness toward the end of your float you may start to be able to see light.

Can two people float at the same time?
We have one floatation spa at Eternity Bliss, so only one person can float at a time. We suggest that for two people floating back-to-back that you bring a book or magazine to read. Or, we can call our list of massage and reiki specialists to see if a practitioner is available for an additional fee (to be paid directly to them for their services).

For a float center that has two traditional tanks, we recommend Float Matrix in San Francisco. They are located at 815 Hyde St. and their phone number is 415-292-4490. Their website is floatmatrix.com
